Sunday, May 19 Update
Hello all,
By parent request, we are hoping to offer a new academic Enrichment Class next year for 2nd-4th Grades. Read below for more information and to sign up!
This proposed program would utilize student's enrichment funds to add a day of on campus instructional time for families who are desiring more higher level academic instruction from credentialed teachers with more advanced projects and more time with other students. Families would need to commit for one 12 week trimester, from 9am-12pm for a total of $180 out of funds. (Yes, that breaks down to $5 an hour for high quality instruction). We have a nine student minimum. Classes would be broken up into two multi-age groups of 2nd and 3rd grade (Wednesday Class) and 4th and 5th grade (Tuesday Class). Students at the lower grade level (2nd and 4th grades) should be reading at grade level to be able to have success at the multiage learning model. Students could also attend only this class if they wanted to. State vaccination regulations apply. Work samples will be sent home. Please complete the form here if you are interested.
Our last days of regular hybrid Arete Resource Center with lessons will be Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23. The last day of school for the Blended Middle School will be Thursday, May 30 (Students will work at home until June 6). On May 29 (4-8th) and May 30 (TK-3) we will be having Fun Field Days. On May 30 at 9am, we will be hosting our first ever 8th Grade Breakfast for ALL STUDENTS who are eligible to promote. Please sign up your child by May 24 if they can attend and please sign up to set up, clean up, or bring something to donate. This is the last day of on campus classes for the Blended Middle School. 8th Grade students who attend 100% homeschool or other enrichment centers are invited to attend.
ALL families are invited, BUT PLEASE SIGN UP IF YOU ARE ATTENDING SO WE CAN PLAN FOR NUMBERS. Students are invited to wear summer clothes and sandals and bring a towel. (There is water involved on this fun day)!
*There will be a photo booth set up for the kindergarten students and their families to take pictures Tuesday.
This day only works if LOTS of families sign up to run stations. Please sign your kiddo up to attend and then sign yourself up to help out. Please read each station’s directions carefully and make sure to show up and WORK the station. Some also need you to bring materials and for some we will provide the materials. Thanks!

Remember to email Sarah at [email protected] a few days before a kiddos’ birthday if you want to send in treats so I can check for food allergies. Nuts are never allowed, but some individual classes have food allergies that I also monitor closely. Thanks for keeping our students safe. We also strongly encourage healthier treats if possible as some families closely monitor their kiddos’ sugar and food dye intake.
Please remember that we are a NUT FREE school as we have several students with severe nut allergies. Kiddos may enjoy nut free granola bars and spreads on their sandwiches and all the nut free favorites when away from Arete. Thanks!
