Sunday, April 27 Update

Hello families,

Hope you all had a restful weekend. Please remember that on April 28 (THIS Monday) the Resource Center is Closed EXCEPT for CAASPP Testing. Remember that anything posted new each Sunday is in bold text.

Arete's third annual Dragon Fair will be Friday, May 2 from 10:00am-1:00-pm. This is a great community event. Please come visit that day and shop all of the cool stuff our talented families make!

Arete Dragon Fair 2025

Arete's first dance with a "Prom" theme is around the corner! The Blended Middle School Leadership class has been working hard to plan an event all students will enjoy!

This dance will take place May 9th, 5:30-7pm at Arete Charter Academy in the Multipurpose Room. Tickets are being sold at the front office for $10 each of exact cash or check. 5th-8th graders are allowed to attend and they are able to bring a guest from another school. (The principal of the guest student's school must sign that they have good grades and behavior). Every student who would like to attend will need their guardian to complete a permission slip here. All guests are encouraged to wear formal/semi formal attire.

This dance will not only have food and drinks but also a photobooth, games, and a professional DJ! To help bring the students' vision alive, we have a list of items (decorations, food and drink) to be donated prior to the event. We are asking for all decorations to be delivered by May 6th. Please sign up here.

We would love to have a few parent chaperons attend! Along with this, if your student is able to volunteer to help decorate on Thursday May 8th from 1-3 and Friday morning, please reach out to Sam Whalen.

For any questions, please contact Sam Whalen at [email protected].

Only enough materials to educate the child through June 5, 2025 will be allowed. The quantity of approved materials is determined by PRSD. Purchases for materials to be used through the summer are not permitted.

Third Trimester reimbursements for subscriptions must be submitted by 12pm Friday, May 23, 2025. Subscriptions must be completed by May 30, 2025. No subscriptions can roll into summer months.

Library Link

Please use the link below to visit our library page!
Every month we have a fun new scavenger hunt for the students to help explore our library. We have a book review wall for all the stories the students want to recommend to others.

We have lots of fun activity and coloring pages on the wall above our book return bin. Markers, colored pencils, and scissors are available for any crafting needs the students have in the library.

Students can enjoy watching the library's pet leopard gecko, named Toothless, in his tank. (Must have staff permission and supervision to take him out and hold).

Parent Appreciation Day

We love celebrating our At Home Teachers- YOU. This year instead of the coffee/tea/treat bar and yoga class, we are having a coffee/tea/treat bar and we hired Susie Bell to come in on May 22 and do the Pottery Wheel with you. Each participant will get to take home their own hand made item (after it is fired) before the end of the year. Please sign up for one spot per family until May and then you can add an additional participant if you want. Thanks!
