don’t elicit a blood pressure of 180 over 140 within a couple of minutes of game play, they go back and tweak the game to get that maximum addition and arousing response.”

Spirit Week Starts! October 9th - 12th

Monday 9th - Crazy Hat/Hair Day

Tuesday 10th - School colors (Wear red & black)

Wednesday 11th - Twin/Matching Day

Thursday 12th - Sports Day

We are striving to give Arete students more opportunities to get together off campus and have added two more field trips.

The Nevada County Nutcracker-TK-8th Grade Thursday, November 30, 9am-10:30, The Performances are at NUHS Don Baggett Theatre. Meet out front at 8:45am.

This presentation is put on by Center Stage Dance Studio. Arete will pre-pay for students and one parent per family is free. An additional parent will be $5 and paid two weeks ahead of time to Arete.

Sutter’s Fort Environmental Living Program April 29th 9am-5pm 3rd-6th Grade Students and Arete School Aged Siblings

Arete is planning an all day field trip to Sutter’s Fort, and 3rd-6th graders will be able to participate in the Environmental Living Program to see what it was really like to live and work in the 1850s.

In order for this field trip to take place and be successful we will need parent volunteers to lead stations throughout the day. At the stations students learn about and participate in many of the jobs that would have been performed at the Fort between 1839 and 1850. The stations are supplemented by staff-led interpretive presentations on the complex history of Sutter’s Fort.  We are excited to share in this opportunity and look forward to creating some more wonderful memories with our Arete families.

Arete would pay for the field trip out of individual student funds. Our plan is to keep the trip at or under $75 per student. The price will include food for one parent per paying student. If additional family members or younger siblings want to attend for lunch, please email me for the out of pocket price. If you are interested in your child attending, please note that all students must have a parent chaperone present to run a station for the field trip. We will hold a MANDATORY informational meeting in January 2024. Parents MUST sign up for student spots and a parent helper spot at the station of their choosing. Funds will be taken out in December, so if you need to cancel, please do so before then as we need to budget.
