Reading to get to the GOAL-D! Arete Charter Academy’s First Read-A-Thon is kicking off February 22nd!

Here’s how it works:
Step 1 - Accept the challenge. Read or be read to and track your reading time.

Step 2 - Sponsor Sheet. Ask your family and friends to support your reading by sponsoring you. They can do a flat fee or per night sponsorship.

Step 3 - Reading Journal. Log your reading time on your reading journal and turn in to Ms. Jen the Librarian once a week (Monday or Tuesday). You will earn prizes as you keep reading and traveling along in our reading journey.

Step 4 - Submit your final reading times by March 19th. Return pledge money March 24th & 25th and then be ready to shop for books at our Usborne Book Fair April 6th & 7th.

Level 1 - Read 30 minutes - Sticker
Level 2 - Read 90 minutes - Eraser
Level 3 - Read 150 minutes - Pencil
Level 4 - Read 210 minutes - Temporary Tattoo
Level 5 - Read 270 minutes - Granola Bar
Level 6 - Read 330 minutes - Squeezy Toy
Level 7 - Read 390 minutes - Popcorn
Level 8 - Read 450 minutes - Dig in Treasure Box
Level 9 - Read 510 minutes - Hot Cocoa Bar
Level 10 - Read 570 minutes - Pizza Party with Ms. Schwartz
50% of pledges in Usborne books to the student and 50% of pledges to Arete Library and Garden. So if you collect $100 in pledges, you will receive $50 in shopping bucks at our Usborne book fair on April 6th and 7th.
