This year's theme will be called "Marshmallows and Mysteries", focusing on selections of reading from mystery novels, short stories, poetry, storybooks, etc. This will be held in the MPR at Arete Charter Academy on Tuesday, October 6.
You are encouraged to dress in costume as one of the characters in your reading selection. You will also run a booth where you will provide a quick, fun activity that points to all things 'mystery'. I have decided for my booth to provide secret code puzzles for the students. The mystery selection that I will be reading will be a "Guess who I am" focus...but still a mystery as to what the title will be. 😆
Marshmallows and Mysteries Schedule:
5:00- We arrive to set up our booths in the MPR with crafts or games that you will provide for your booth.
5:30- 6:00- Students will visit the mystery booths. Keep activities simple as time is limited for each. We will also have a book exchange table.
6:00- 6:15- Hot cocoa with marshmallows will be provided.
6:15- 7:00- Students pile in the middle of the MPR with pillows,and blankets for
