Hi 6th grade families!!

Our Science Camp dates are official!! We will be going September 8 - 12, 2025. And YES, there is still time to sign your child up to go to camp!! 

Please remember if your child needs medication to take to camp, NOW is the time to get the camp medical paperwork completed if needed. If the proper paperwork is not filled out, your child can NOT be given any type of medication while at camp. Please check with the Science Camp website to download the Physician’s form to take with you to the Doctor’s appointment. Additionally, any summer payments can be made to the Magnolia office or via Venmo. You will find the Venmo code on the Science Camp website.

If you have not signed your child up to go to 6th Grade Science Camp there is still time!! Please email Vivian McKnight ([email protected]) to let her know and she can let you know the next steps in the process.

The next steps:

At Arete on August 11th, from 1-2pm there will be a Back to School Ice Cream Social from 1-2pm. Viv McKnight, Science Camp Coordinator and Arete's newest Educational Advisor, will be there to meet new families and answer questions about Science Camp. She will talk a bit more about what to expect and hand out paperwork for the bus transportation permissions and direct you to a digital link to fill out information for camp permissions

Lastly, we are still looking for high school students to go as counselors. Paperwork can be downloaded at the  Science Camp website. Please have all teachers and your high school site administration sign the application no later than Wednesday, August 22. Thanks so much!
