NCAL Girls’ Volleyball Tournament April 2025SMALL SCHOOLS 7th GRADE IN WEST GYM AT NEVADA UNIONWEDNESDAY 4/30 – Pool Play/Playoffs“BLUE POOL” – Arete, Clear Creek, Ready Springs“GOLD POOL” – Forest Lake Christian, Mt. St. Mary’s, Nevada City School of the ArtsThe basics for pool play:• Pool play matches consist of 2 games to 25 points. There is a 27 - pointcap on pool play games. • Warm-ups: 5 minutes of hitting and serving foreach team.• Game times are always approximate and we will move ahead, if possible.• All teams in each pool will advance to the play-off brackets.- Seeds will be determined by overall records, head to head, total points, and coin toss if necessary.• Bear River will supply as many referees as possible; however, teams scheduled toreferee a match must supply 2 line judges, a scorebook keeper, and a scoreboardflipper. Make sure your players know that cell phones, earbuds, and friends shouldnot be present while they are “working”.• Please be kind to your referees. Nobody works well when they are getting pressured bycoaches or parents. They are high school players, and may miss some calls. Coachesare responsible for the parents of their players! Make sure they are courteous as well.If there is an issue, please consult Jonathon Good.• Most importantly…make sure the players, and coaches have fun. We all love this gameand want to have a great tournament. Please help create an atmosphere of good willand good competition.• Play-off matches consist of best of 3 games; the 3rd game is played to 15, and nocap on points.
