Students will create healthy & delicious dishes based on recipes from Asia, Europe, Africa & Latin America. Many of the ingredients come from Chef Susan’s culinary gardens. Topics of discussion: Nutrition, growing your own food, healthy cooking, connecting with other cultures & foreign languages. Organic & GMOfree ingredients used whenever possible. In each 75 minute class, we will make:

  1. Dinner dish with 4 servings

  2. Jr. Chef’s Special (students create a dish using the “secret ingredient” of the day!)

Age: All ages. Minimum 5 students. Max 18.

Cost: $45

Time: Wednesdays & Thursdays from 1:15 to 2:30

  • Sept 4:  Chinese: Chicken with Sesame Ginger Glaze + Fortune Cookies

  • Sept 10: Italy: Make Pizza Art! Fresh Crust, Sauces & Toppings

  • Sept 11: Mexico: Easy Enchiladas + Oaxacan Black Beans

  • Oct 1: England: Chicken Pot Pie + Mashed Potato Crust

  • Oct 2: Italian Stuffed Meatball Soup + Fresh Cheesy, Herb & Garlic Bread

  • Oct 15:  French Country Meatloaf + Plum BBQ Sauce

  • Oct 16:  French Roasted Chicken with Kumquats & Apricot Glaze

  • Nov 5:   Thai Noodles + Sesame Ginger Sauce + Meat & Veggie Toppings

  • Nov 6:    Japanese Takeout: Teriyaki Chicken Skewer & Rainbow Bowls

  • Nov 12: Thanksgiving Prep: Make 2 pies: Farm Fresh Apple & Pumpkin

  • Nov 13: Thanksgiving Prep: Herb Mashed Potatoes with Miso Gravy + Fresh Cranberry Sauce

  • Dec 3:    Italian Holiday Lasagna + Fresh Bread & Bruschetta
