How to learn more about SAEL:
SAEL is excited to welcome interested parents and students to our campus for an evening information session. SAEL will host prospective families on 1/10, 1/24, 2/7, 2/21, and 3/13 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at SAEL, located at 505 Main Street in Downtown Nevada City. Each evening will feature a short interactive presentation about SAEL's learning model followed by ample time for questions and answers as well as a chance to tour the building. All are welcome to attend and each date offers the same opportunity and information. No RSVP is needed, we hope to see you there.
Info on our program:
Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning (SAEL) is a tuition-free, project-based, public charter high school located in the Nevada City Elementary building in Downtown Nevada City. Using the nationally recognized EL Education learning model, students take their learning deeper with hands-on, interdisciplinary experiences in the classroom and in the field. With about 200 students in grades 9-12, the school is small and all students are known. In addition, our students' work is relevant and applies to the real world. All students are supported to be ready for college and career after graduating, and graduation requirements at SAEL meet UC / CSU admissions standards.
